For people (like me) who prefer clicking to typing, here are some nice little helpers for the small things in life:

Nautilus audio converter

This tool helps you to convert different audio formats into another by just right-clicking on the files.
For installation:
install nautilus-script-audio-convert
install nautilus-script-manager (if not already installed)
install mplayer (if not already installed)

run nautilus-script-manager enable ConvertAudioFile

Nautilus image converter

This tool resizes and rotates your images (really useful for snapshots you want to upload!) by just right-clicking on it.

sudo aptitude install nautilus-image-converter should do the job already.

Nautilus open terminal in folder
sudo aptitude install nautilus-open-terminal will install a terminal quick launch for nautilus, where you can just right-click on the folder and select open terminal here.
